Will of Sir Thomas Lovell K.G: Part 4
Item: I will that my cousin Francis Lovell shall have all my manors, lordships, lands, tenements, farms, rents, reversions and services, patronages of churches and chapels, with all other hereditaments with their appurtenances which I have or any other person or persons to my use have within the towns fields and counties hereafter following; that is to say:
My manors, lordships, lands and tenements with their appurtenances in East Harling, Bridgeham, Knetshale, Brinnsted, Chossel, Bechamwell, Ashfield in Bechamwell, Ironhall, Wyronhall, Wratton, Denver, Teryngton by Tyliney, Tidde Saint Giles, Sporle and Pagraine, with their appurtenances in the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk and my manors, lordships, lands and rents in Bingwell, Badingham, Harson and Upware, with their appurtenances in the county of Cambridge, my manors, lands and tenements in Walley with their appurtenances in the county of Huntingdon, my manor and lordship of Ryall, with the appurtenances in the county of Rutland, my manors, lordships, lands, and tenements with their appurtenances in Broughton, Casthorp and Manby in the county of Lincoln, my lands, tenements, rents and farms in Yerdley and Waltham Cross in the county of Hertford, my lands, tenements, rents and farms with their appurtenances in Iseldon, Holwey, Edmonton and Tottenham in the county of Middlesex, my lands, tenements, rents, farms, reversions and services in Uptons near Sandwich Feldserstandcourte, my tenement in Sandwich Queryngton in Mersham and the reversions of the manor of Swanyngton with their appurtenances in the county of Kent, my manor and lordship of Duklington, Corkthorp and Fryngford, with their appurtenances in the county of Oxford, and my lands, tenements, rents, farms in Redlynge and Berfordes in Donnton with their appurtenances in the county of Wiltshire to my said cousin Francis Lovell for term of his life: And after the death of my said cousin Francis Lovell, then I will that all the foresaid manors, lordships, lands, tenements, rents, farms, reversions and services with all other the premisses with their appurtenances within the said counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Rutland, Lincoln, Hertford, Middlesex, Kent, Oxford and Wiltshire shall remain to the next heirs males of my said cousin Francis Lovell of his body lawfully begotten and to their heirs males.
And if it happen the said heirs males of my said cousin Francis Lovell to die without any heirs males of his or their bodies lawfully begotten, then I will that all the foresaid manors, lordships, lands, tenements, rents, farms, reversions, services and all other the premisses with their appurtenances within the said counties of Norfolk, Suffolk Cambridge Huntingdon, Rutland, Lincoln, Hertford, Middlesex, Kent, Oxford and Wiltshire shall remain to the next heirs males of my cousin Sir Thomas Lovell, knight, of his body lawfully begotten.
And if it happen that my said cousin Thomas Lovell to die without heirs males of his body lawfully begotten, then I will that all the foresaid manors, lordships, lands, tenements, rents, farms, reversions, services, and all other the premisses with their appurtenances within the said counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Rutland, Lincoln, Hertford, Middlesex, Kent, Oxford and Wiltshire shall remain to the right heirs males of my said cousin Sir Thomas Lovell, knight, forever.
Also I will that John Lovell, brother to my cousin Francis Lovell, shall have all that my manors called Lovecotes and Sybyles in Wilbrougham the mote and Wolles in west Wikeham, with the appurtenances in the county of Cambridge; to him for term of his life.
And after the death of the said John Lovell, then I will that the said manors of Lovecotes and Sibilles in Wilbrougham and Wolles in West Wikeham with the appurtenances shall remain to my cousin Francis Lovell for term of his life. And after the decease of my said cousin Francis then I will the same manors with the appurtenances in Wilbrougham and Westwikeham shall remain to the next heirs males of my said cousin Francis Lovell of his body lawfully begotten and to their heirs males.
And if it happen the said heirs males of my said cousin Francis Lovell to die without any heirs males of his or their bodies lawfully begotten, then I will that foresaid manors of Lovecotes and Sibelles in Wilbrougham and Wolles in Westwikeham, with the appurtenances in the county of Cambridge shall remain to the next heirs males of my cousin Sir Thomas Lovell, knight, of his body lawfully begotten.
And if it happen my said cousin Sir Thomas Lovell to die without heirs males of his body lawfully begotten, then I will the foresaid manors in Willbrougham and Westwikeham with their appurtenances in the county of Cambridge shall remain to the right heirs males of my said cousin Sir Thomas Lovell, knight, forever. Also I will that Edward Lovell, brother to my said cousin Francis Lovell shall have the moiety of the Castle of Basyngborne, with the appurtenances in the county of Cambridge, to him for term of his life.
And after the death of the said Edward Lovell, then I will the said moiety of the Castle of Basingborne, with the appurtenances, shall remain to my cousin Francis Lovell, for term of his life.
And after the decease of my said cousin Francis, then I will that the said moiety of the Castle of Basingborne, with the appurtenances in the county of Cambridge, shall remain to the next heirs males of my said cousin Francis Lovell of his body lawfully begotten, and to their heirs males.
And if it happen the said heirs males of my cousin Francis Lovell to die without heirs males of his body or their bodies lawfully begotten, then I will the foresaid moiety of the Castle of Basingborne with the appurtenances in the county of Cambridge shall remain to the next heirs males of my cousin Sir Thomas Lovell, knight, of his body lawfully begotten.
And if it happen that my said cousin Sir Thomas Lovell to die without heirs males of his body lawfully begotten, then I will that the foresaid moiety of the Castle of Basingborne with the appurtenances in the county of Cambridge shall remain to the right heirs males of my said cousin Sir Thomas Lovell, knight, forever.
